Cumbria Youth Alliance is a registered charity (1079508) and a company limited by guarantee (03819033).

Our organisation is guided by the needs and aspirations of the young people in the county, shaping our strategy and services accordingly. Our core mission is to empower young individuals in Cumbria to realise their full potential. We strongly believe in the potential of all young people and aim to support those who require assistance to unlock it.

Our charitable objectives are:

• Increase the number of children and young people who have the confidence and skills to make the successful transition into adulthood.
• Identify and meet emerging needs in relation to children and young people.
• Work with and for children and young people and key partners to reduce health inequalities.
• Involve children and young people in the design, delivery and evaluation of services provided for them.
• Increase capability of youth leadership through social action and community engagement.
• Increase the opportunities to work with key statutory, third sector and private sector partners to avoid duplication and share resources to address key areas of need.
• Championing, challenging and positively promoting social justice and equality through being accountable for all we say and do.
• Clearly defining the services available to organisations, partners and children and young people.
• Increase the number of organisations working with children and young people who access support and representations relevant to their needs and aspirations.
